Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Medvento, operated by AMS Technologies ("Medvento", "we", "us"). By creating an account, registering for an event, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you're using Medvento on behalf of a society or association, you're confirming you have authority to bind that organization.
1. What Medvento is
Medvento is a SaaS event management platform purpose-built for medical societies, associations and healthcare providers running conferences, CME programs and webinars in India — covering event setup, faculty workflows, abstract submission and review, registration and payments, messaging, and CME certificate generation.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when creating an organizer account and keep it up to date.
- You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping login credentials secure.
- Org-level subdomains (e.g. yoursociety.medvento.com) are provisioned per organization and may be reassigned if left inactive for an extended period, with notice.
3. Plans, billing and free tier
- Medvento offers a free tier (one list per type, one active event at a time, up to 100 attendees/event, 500MB storage, with "Powered by Medvento" branding) and paid tiers with higher limits.
- Paid subscriptions are billed annually and displayed as a monthly-equivalent rate. Pricing is admin-configurable and may change; we do not grandfather prior pricing on renewal.
- Messaging (WhatsApp/email delivery) is billed per delivery on all tiers, with the cost shown before you send.
- See our Pricing page for current plan details, and our Refund & Cancellation Policy for how refunds work.
4. Payments and Medvento's role
Payments are processed via Razorpay. Depending on the transaction:
- Subscription and messaging payments (society → Medvento) — Medvento is the direct merchant.
- Event registration payments (delegate → event) — Medvento facilitates payment collection on behalf of the organizing society for that event; the society is responsible for the event itself and its own cancellation terms, subject to our platform-level refund policy for payment-processing matters.
By paying through Medvento, you authorize us (and Razorpay) to process that transaction per the payment instructions you provide.
5. Organizer responsibilities
- You're responsible for the accuracy of event details, pricing, and policies you publish through your event pages.
- You must have the right to invite and process data for the faculty and delegates you add to the platform.
- You're responsible for setting and honoring your own event's cancellation/refund terms for delegates, consistent with applicable consumer protection law.
- Auto-generated policy pages (Terms, Privacy, Refund) provided for your event are a starting point — review and adjust them for your specific event before publishing.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Medvento for events, content, or communications that are unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading
- Send unsolicited bulk messages unrelated to the event a recipient registered for
- Attempt to circumvent free-tier limits through multiple accounts in bad faith
- Interfere with the platform's security or attempt unauthorized access to other organizations' data
7. Intellectual property
Medvento retains all rights to the platform itself. You retain ownership of the content you upload (event details, abstracts, branding) and grant us a limited license to host, process and display it as needed to operate the service for you.
8. Third-party services
Medvento integrates with third-party services including Razorpay (payments), Resend (email) and WhatsApp Business messaging. Your use of features built on these services is also subject to those providers' terms.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Medvento is provided "as is." We work to keep the platform reliable but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of Medvento is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We're not liable for losses arising from an organizing society's own event decisions, pricing, or cancellation terms.
10. Termination
You may stop using Medvento at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practical. On termination, we'll retain data per our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts in Gautam Buddha Nagar having exclusive jurisdiction.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made.
