A CME and conference platform for Indian medical societies: how Medvento works end to end
How Medvento runs a society's conference from registration to CME certificates: attendance by session QR, credit hours, automatic issue and verification.
Medvento is event management software for medical societies and associations in India. For a CME event it handles the whole chain: delegates register, faculty are invited, attendance is recorded by session QR code or by hand, and after the event each delegate who attended receives a CME certificate automatically, by email, with a QR code that anyone can use to verify it. This guide shows how the pieces fit together, with links to the detailed guides.

- Record attendance on the day. Session QR check-in.

How CME credit is decided
A certificate shows the CME credit for each delegate. Medvento works it out in this order:
- If you entered a council-approved Delegate credit on the event's Certificates tab, that number is used.
- Otherwise, if the delegate scanned session QR codes, the credit is the total of the sessions they scanned.
- Otherwise, if they were only checked in at event level, the event's CME credit hours apply.
Registering and paying is not enough. A delegate needs attendance evidence, and a credit above zero. Accreditation varies by state council, so every accreditation field is optional, but credits need the council's reference number.
How certificates are issued
There is no Issue button. When an owner moves the event to post-event, a background job runs every 5 minutes, creates each certificate as a PDF, and emails it to the delegate. A small event usually finishes within about 5 to 10 minutes. If you need to correct something, you reissue, which gives a new number and revokes the old one. Details and limits are in how to issue CME certificates.
How anyone can verify a certificate
Each certificate prints a QR code. Scanning it opens a page on medvento.com that says Valid certificate, Revoked (replaced by a newer one) or that the certificate cannot be verified. It shows what was printed on the certificate: the delegate's name, the event, its dates, the credit, the number and who issued it. See how to receive and verify a certificate.
Privacy and records
Delegates see a notice at registration that anyone with a certificate's link can verify it. If a delegate asks for their data to be deleted, a minimal CME record is kept for six years after the event so that their credit can still be verified. See privacy and consent for organizers.
Pricing
Pro costs ₹999/- per month, billed annually, excluding GST. A Free plan is also available.Frequently asked questions
Does Medvento support CME certificates for Indian medical councils?
Yes. You enter the accrediting council, its reference number and the credits, and Medvento prints them. Some council presets are marked unverified, so follow your accreditation letter, not the preset.
Do delegates get a certificate just for registering?
No. They need attendance evidence: a session scan or an event check-in.
How do I get CME hours onto a certificate?
Set the event's CME credit hours in Basics, or the council-approved Delegate credit on the Certificates tab.
Can delegates download their certificate later?
Not from Medvento. The email is their copy. An organizer can resend it.
Can I correct a certificate after it is issued?
Yes. An owner reissues it, which creates a new numbered certificate and revokes the old one.
Where can I start?
With the setup roadmap.
